Last Friday, January 19, Zedd first teased “The Middle,” his newest track featuring Maren Morris. Eventually, after much demand, the artist shared a short clip of the track on Twitter, fueling the demand for the new song.
After one too many days of teasing the track online, Zedd released his newest collaboration with Maren Morris and electronic duo Grey.
“The Middle” is a captivating, poppy masterpiece that finds Morris pulling away from her country roots. The synth-heavy track gives off early R&B vibes, and features a chorus that echoes Zedd’s collaboration with Alessia Cara, “Stay.”

Zedd, Maren Morris and Grey will perform “The Middle” as part of a branded collaboration with Target airing during a Grammys commercial break.
