After 16 years of Ultra, the city of Miami understands what goes on at one of the biggest electronic music festivals in the world, so they are beefing up security.
The festival will have 350 of its own security officers and 300 Miami Police officers that will be \”monitoring every corner\”, according to Officer Earnest Lawrence of the Miami Police. He also said that some of the officers will be \”on foot, some on bikes and some in the undercover capacity.\”
The increase of security this year is focused on creating a drug-free environment, which makes sense considering a 22-year-old British soldier overdosed and died at Ultra 2015. Be safe out there people.
