Electric Zoo is one of the biggest Labor Day festivals in the United States but for the last two years the last day has been cancelled. The first cancellation came in 2013 on the last day after two concert goers overdosed on MDMA. This event really added to the stereotype that all ravers do drugs and actually culminated to petition to ban electronic music. Obviously, it failed, and Electric Zoo took necessary precautions the next year with a really scary video warning people about the dangers of \”Molly\” but tragedy would strike again in New York. In 2014, there was a flash flood warning during the last day and everyone was evacuated before 5 p.m. EST.
Despite these setbacks, the 2015 lineup for Electric Zoo is stacked and apparently \”Transformed\”, but will we get to see them all? As a skeptical person I don\’t know how I would feel about buying tickets to a festival that had cancellations two years in a row, in fact I was scared of going to North Coast last year because in 2013 two days were affected by the rain. Although, I ended up going because of the plethora of jaw-breaking artists on the lineup, which is pretty much the same case for Electric Zoo. I guess the only question is, are you superstitious?
