Twitter beefs are nothing new in this day and age. It seems like every week there is a new beef just begging for our attention. This time it involves two very prominent and successful DJs: Deadmau5 and Carnage.
During this past weekend at Ultra Music Festival, The festival Trap DJ/Producer Carnage shared some ugly thoughts when asked about Deadmau5 in a Snapchat video. Carnage referred to Deadmau5 as a \”faggot.\” Common sense tells you that the use of such hateful language of garner you a heap of criticism, thus sparking a well deserved response from the Mau5 himself.
\”People need to stop supporting this tool. I can deal with shade being thrown, but then there\’s this senseless shit.. pic.twitter.com/je8nUhO9DJ\”

\”@djcarnage pussy? Faggot? You just keep winning at life. Carry on. You’re quite literally, irrelevant.\”

After finishing a killer set at Ultra (for many DJs, including myself is the dream gig) you would imagine everyone would be rainbows and smiles. Unfortunately, even with great music, people and vibes, people can still find the negative from the positive.
When it comes down to it, when you use hateful language (especially on a platform like Twitter) then you will be viewed as a hateful person. Props to Deadmau5 for addressing such language and disrespect. Also Kudos to Carnage for finally getting it and apologizing for such ugly language. Hopefully the next time he decides to insult someone, he think better of it and keep it moving.
Ultimately this beef was more or less one sided, in which Carnage just ended up playing himself. Or in the words of Danny Brown: \”Stop that, you not about that\”.
Below are the tweets that displaying Carnage\’s feelings towards Deadmau5. As you can see, Carnage tries his best to excuse his actions by explaining his family dynamic and what not.
I have gay cousins… I have a transgender aunt who raised me… So don't you ever get at me like that….that's one thing YOUR NOT gonna do

using the term "faggot" was wrong and I apologize to anyone that took offense, I didn't mean to offend anyone

I will never use that term again… I'm sorry but being a homophobe is just not me…
