The Chainsmokers recently performed their hit single Roses featuring Rozez on the Late Late Show with James Corden this week. After the EDM disaster that was their American Idol Performance last year, they had the chance to redeem themselves – and redeem themselves they did.
With Alex on a MIDI Pad (and vocals!) and Drew on the keyboard, the performance was far from a disaster. The Chainsmokers and Rozes showed their true talent apart from their wonderful mixing skills, and it was really nice to see artist grow this way – especially as EDM genre oriented artists.
Artists like Krewella have taken to actually including instruments such as a guitar and drums into their live sets, and it seems to be going well. Fans are eager to hear new sounds that adds another dimension to the music they\’re enjoying.
So kudos to the Chainsmokers! They\’ve done a great job showing us what kind of artists they really are and I hope to see much more of these exciting types of performances in the future.
