Undoubtedly one of the most keenly awaited albums this year has finally dropped. Ever since news broke that Skrillex’s mighty OWSLA was going to release MUST DIE!’s new album, it was clear that this was going to be an incredible body of work.
We’re certainly not disappointed. Spanning ten tracks in length, ‘Death & Magic’ moves through just about every aspect of bass music, in signature MUST DIE! style. With boundless energy and intricate production features prominent, the entire LP is quite overwhelming upon first listen. There are also a number of high profile contributions including Datsik, The Ragga Twins and vocalist Tkay.
Highlights? Our picks have to be the whirring, slithers of melody over dubstep track ‘Gem Shards’, the haunting and menacing ‘Project Ghost’ and the bubbling, frenetic nature of ‘Filter System’ ft. Descender. A seriously impressive album, we implore you to grab a copy here.
