This past Saturday Asheville, North Carolina\’s STS9 concert was ended early due to security and safety concerns, according to Fox Carolina. The show which was being held at the Thomas Wolfe Auditorium was shut down early after seven people were rushed to the hospital, with two of the fans remaining in critical condition as of Sunday morning.
Watch Commander Gary Gudac of the Asheville Police says that \”drugs were involved, but officers were still investigating what combination or types of drugs were distributed.\” He went on to say, \”the crowd inside the Thomas Wolfe Auditorium became unruly and began throwing bottles and other items at security guards and others in the crowd.\” According to the local Fox affiliate, several officers were assaulted and a dozen additional officers were called in to subdue the out of control crowd.
In addition to the seven people hospitalized, four people were arrested for a variety of infractions ranging from possession of narcotics to resisting arrest and being intoxicated and disruptive.

Rumors have already begun to fly that one man is responsible for selling the bad drugs that resulted in the multiple hospitalizations and the show being cut short. Nothing has been officially confirmed but it\’s safe to say we all need to make sure we have safe and responsible event experiences.
