This morning, future funk/soul producer Manic Focus announced a show for all us Chicago bassheads on Friday, March 18th at the Concord Music hall. Manic Focus has been on fire since releasing his fourth studio album \”Cerebral Eclipse\” on GRiZ\’s record label, All Good Records, in 2014, playing many festivals over the summer including North Coast and providing the official aftershow to Bassnectar 360 on New Years. He has also put out some excellent remixes of some of his future funk brothers including Minnesota and was featured on a song on GRiZ\’s latest album, Say it Loud. Fans of Pretty Lights, Break Science, Paul Basic, and obviously labelmates GRiZ and The Floozies will instantly feel a connection with the funky, retro vibes and crushing bass in the music of Manic Focus, and it should be an unbelievable show. Tickets are $16 via clubtix (plus fees, of course) and can be purchased here on Friday. Let\’s boogie, y\’all.
