Today, many people just waking up around the world checked their Twitter or their Facebook, surprised to see word from Madeon, a French, twenty year old wunderkind artist who rose to prominence via his world-famous mashup, \”Pop Culture.\” Since then, the video has received over twenty million views and Madeon, otherwise known by his real name, Hugo Pierre Leclercq, has jettisoned himself into the electronic music scene.
His social media announcement, you ask? To announce an exciting collaboration with Kyan. The track will release next Monday, December 8, 2014. A great deal of hype surrounding the single can already be found in the comments and replies of excited fans, anxiously awaiting this release. Considering Madeon\’s previously reserved musical manner, in which he released no more than two singles a year, the recent return to relative activity foreshadows the approaching announcement of his debut album. The track, entitled \”You\’re On\” is the first of several singles believed to be foregoing the release of his debut album early next year.
