The 26-year-old struggled with substance abuse
Hip hop star Mac Miller has passed away at the age of 26 of an apparent drug overdose. The artist was found unresponsive around noon, Friday, September 7 in his home in San Fernando Valley.
Miller had a long, hard battle with substance abuse. Back in May, he was arrested on charges of driving under the influence and hit and run after wrapping his G-Wagon around a utility pole and fleeing the scene.
In August, Miller released his fifth studio album, Swimming, and was set to embark on Thundercat’s tour beginning next month.
