The story of Louis The Child is truly one for the EDM history book. The two teenagers, Robert Hauldren and Freddy Kennett, first met at a Madeon show where they added each other on Facebook. A few months later they reconnected once they realized they both DJ and had common interests in the EDM scene. Once they started working together, Louis The Child was born.
Following the creation of LTC these boys were crafting up some incredible remixes just a year ago. Body Gold and Compass are two remixes that definitely separated themselves from the rest, having received over three million views on Soundcloud. Since then the DJ duo spent this summer touring, representing their motto \”Music that makes you happy\” quite well at EDC Las Vegas and Spring Awakening Music Festival. Although they grew in popularity throughout the summer, none of that is in comparison to the publicity that their new track \”It\’s Strange\” received. LTC describes the initial recognition of the song,
\”It got to #1 on Hype Machine within 24 hours and had over a million plays in the first 10 days which is the best response we\’ve ever gotten on a song. Getting it placed in FIFA was also very crazy for us.\”
Due to the overwhelming popularity of their newest song, it is logical to name their new tour the It\’s Strange Tour. Hauldren and Kennett will travel all over the nation as well as Canada for the first time in their careers. They will start the tour in their hometown at Navy Pier in Chicago on the 17th of October. Though more tour dates are TBA, their latest one yet is on the 29th of January in Boston.
