It seems like forever that we have been waiting for a debut album from Kygo. In December, we finally got some sort of confirmation of a release date when he dropped \”Stay\” and it was for today\’s date. Earlier this afternoon, Kygo posted an apologetic message on Facebook regarding a delay in the release of the album.
Hey guys, I’m sorry to say that the album is going to be a little delayed. I’ve been working on this album for a year and a half, so I dont want to rush anything now in the end and I want it to be perfect when I release it! Its 99% done now so it’s very close!
In the mean time, he uploaded a 7 minute preview of the album on SoundCloud to hold us over.
If the anticipation wasn\’t killing us before today, it is definitely now. The preview is incredible with strong vocals from unnamed artists in each snippet and all the chill, tropical vibes you could ask for. Kygo seems to be taking a step away from house sounds and going for more of a laid back sound with live instruments, while maintaining his classic tropical style.
