Apparently Kanye West did not emphasize his godliness enough in his Yeezus album for here we have yet another musical self-tribute titled \”God Level\” that was debuted today on Kimye\’s wedding day. The track is featured in an Adidas commercial which is a smart move on West\’s part considering his Adidas YEEZi sneaker line is to be in stores next month. While we all appreciate a little Yeezy in our lives, what I appreciate more is his recent collaborations with some of my favorite electronic producers such as Gesaffelstein, Daft Punk, and now Hudson Mohawke who co-produced \”God Level\” along with 88 Keys, Mike Dean, Noah Goldstein, and West himself.
For those of you who are not familiar with Hudson Mohawke, he is a young Scottish electronic and hip-hop producer who his best known for his collaboration project with Canadian trap/ hip hop producer Lunice called TNGHT. Mohawke\’s music has also been featured in Rockstar Games\’ Grand Theft Auto V (\”100 hm\”) and in my roommates and mine favorite show, Workaholics (\”Cbat\”).
Mohawke has confirmed that the full song has not yet surfaced, so keep an eye out for \”God Level\” within the next few weeks. In the meantime, watch the new Adidas commercial above to get a first listen and let us know what you think.
