Many ravers that are traveling to Vagator, Goa for the Sunburn electronic dance music festival at the end of the month might notice a little more security than normal at this year\’s installment due to the recent ISIS threat made.
IndiaEveryday/NDTV reported that Goa tourism minister Dilip Parulekar security will be boosted:
We want the best security in view of the ISIS threat. The single window permission committee headed by the chief secretary which grants permission for such events has decided to ask the organisers of the events to increase security, Mr Parulekar said.
Mr Parulekar also said that some of the specific requests which have been made by the committee include increasing the number of metal detectors at the EDM festival venues and sniffer dogs to keep track of possible explosive substances.
