What do you get when you mix the makers of EDC and the record label-home of artists like Disclosure, Zedd, and RAC?
Apparently a new record label by the name of Insomniac Records.
Pasquale Rotella, CEO of Insomniac Events, has joined forces with Interscope Records to bring what is being called \”a new home for dance music.\” According to the Billboard article that announced the collaboration, both parties wanted to create a home for up-and-coming talent along with the artists that already claim the stage at some of the biggest dance festivals, including Electric Daisy Carnival and Nocturnal Wonderland. It\’s something that Rotella and Interscope are excited about. The new label will allow electronic artists to release music on a wider level and reach more fans from all over the world. Insomniac Records will also be the foundation for \”undiscovered talent,\” with a goal to bring new and diverse music to the forefront.
Arty is officially the first electronic artist to sign with Insomniac Records. His debut album will be released under this new label and the Russian producer teased the first single \”Up All Night\” on SoundCloud. While the album is said to be out later this year, we can catch the DJ at Spring Awakening this summer as part of his US tour. He will also be the artist to watch for now if we want to see how this merger unwinds. But for now, you can listen to the preview of \”Up All Night\” below:
