A duo hailing from Italy to take on the U.S. electronic dance music scene in the home of house music, Freak Island has a comparable sound to fellow Chicagoan rising stars Louis The Child. I had the chance to catch the guys and ask them why they chose Chicago over Miami (where 1/2 of the duo has held several residencies) and they answered, \”Miami doesn\’t have a local scene as big as Chicago\’s. We love how the Chicago people are ready for new music, collaborations and shows. Chicago is way more serious.\”
