Legendary Dutch duo Chocolate Puma helped shape the original house genre back in the day under several artist names like \’The Goodmen\’ and \’Jark Prongo\’.

After hit singles like \’Step Back (Get Down)\’, \’Rubberband Lazer\’ and \’I Can’t Understand\’ with Firebeatz, they are now back with a new banger called \’I Could Be Wrong\’. This new single, which features a classic piano and catchy vocals, already has \’future classic\’ written all over it and has been picked up by big names such as Oliver Heldens, Don Diablo, Sander Kleinenberg, Diplo and A-Trak.

I got the chance to fire some questions at these cocoa cougars, so read on to learn more about the track, festivals they are looking forward to playing and the most special request on their rider…

Yesterday saw the release of your newest production \’I Could Be Wrong\’. What\’s the story behind the track?

This track was made in just a few hours. It’s kind of a mystery why that happens sometimes, but guess inspiration struck, we started playing the piano, a bassline and threw in some old skool house beats, and boom, there it was. Those are the golden moments in our studio. We just saw Carl Cox posting something the other day about that you can’t make a decent track in a few hours. Although we absolutely love Mr. Cox, we must disagree. The songs that don’t need much time to make are most of the time the best ones. Because when it instantly feels right, it is right.

In what way were you involved during the creation of the artwork?

The artwork is made by Marc Sokpolie, he is kind of our resident designer. We’ve been working with him for a few years now and we absolutely love what he does. You could say that the way he draws is the way we like our beats.

The festival season has officially kicked off. Do you have any exiting places to be this summer?

Yes, we play a lot of festivals and beach parties this summer. Like Mysteryland, Lakedance and Dreamfields in our home country The Netherlands, Summer festival and Tomorrowland in Belgium, Veld festival and Beachclub in Canada, and we’re doing quite some shows at Ushuaia Ibiza.

In 1994 you discovered Laidback Luke, so you clearly have an eye for talent. Can you reveal an artist that is currently on your radar?

Novka from Croatia. He’s already signed, but he is awesome.

Do you have any unique or special requests on your rider?

Bananas.

\’I Could Be Wrong\’ is out now on Beatport.
