Immense sadness overcame a swarm of bass-hungry fans in downtown Los Angeles when the venue security shouted loudly, \”There\’s no show tonight, the cops are shutting it down.\” Eprom and Alix Perez, under the moniker Shades, were supposed to headline the traditional Low End Theory event at The Airliner but the venue overfilled due to a famous rapper\’s ambiguous tweet about a free show in Los Angeles.
Yesterday, YG announced that he would be hosting a free show in downtown Los Angeles but he did not disclose the location. Due to the anonymous nature of YG\’s proposal many of his fans formed a line at The Airliner, confusing the mass of people lined up for Eprom as YG fans. YG was never on the set list at The Airliner that night but there was a huge crowd dying to see him. The event began at 9:30 PM, but by 8:30 PM the line had already snaked around the corner, down the block and finally ended in the parking lot.
In the end, the small venue had to shut down due to the excessive turn out, leaving a lot of bassheads disappointed and others yellling \”Fuck YG\”. Eprom tried to continue the show but the 5-0 was making sure the party didn\’t start again. On the bright side, Eprom did mention that he would make up to his LA fans.
Sorry folks – mixed messages – we are definitely shut down tonight
