EDC will venture into its 5th international location – Delhi, India. According to a press release, the Indian edition will be a “multidimensional music experience”, featuring one of the largest lineups of international and Indian artists ever seen.
This move is not a big surprise. India’s EDM has been booming in recent years. From massive music festival Sunburn to Goa Trance becoming mainstream, India is a hotspot for EDM in Asia. Pasqualle Rotella, founder and CEO of Insomniac, stated “I know it’s a place where the magic of EDC can come alive in a truly unique way”.
The star-studded lineup is yet to be released. If you’re anything like me, though, you probably have no idea who some of those Indian DJs are. Until then, let’s educate ourselves and maybe we’ll end up in Delhi under the electric sky.
