The duo is back at it again, and this time, Daft Punk is giving a twist on themselves. DP decided to put a little twist on their own hit song, \”Get Lucky\” with Pharrell Williams & Nile Rodgers by changing some synths around and adding a good extra 5 minutes to the track. In an interview with Pete Tong, Thomas Bangalter and Guy-Manuel de Homem-Christo said that fans could expect some new mixes, specifically ones on their own songs:
“We’re working on some mixes ourselves,” Bangalter answered. “So yes, there will probably be Daft Punk mixes of Daft Punk. Usually we never mix ourselves, that’s something we feel we’re interested in doing this time.”
They stated that \”Get Lucky\” would be the first track they would remix, and so far it\’s turning out pretty good. It seems like a bootleg of some sorts, and it doesn\’t differentiate much from the original version. However, we\’ve posted it for streaming below. What are your thoughts?
