MK (Marc Kinchen) remixes are some of my favorite songs in the world.
Possibly his most well known remix is of Storm Queen\’s \”Look Right Through.\” According to MK\’s Twitter bio, the song reached #1 on the UK Singles Chart. He often releases several different reworks of songs, including his Vocal Edit and MK Dub III.
Chicago artist and NIU graduate Bryan Gorecki, known as Hi Five, has just released a remix of the remix on Future Factory, the Chicago based label started by Autograf. Bryan is one of my close friends and a writer for EDM Chicago. He\’s also released remixes of G-Eazy and Milk N Cooks with fellow Chicagoan Xonic.
This remix is incredible and I can\’t stop listening to it. It keeps the original vibe of the song, especially for the first minute, before bringing in Storm Queen\’s unforgettable lyrics. Following a nice breakdown, the first drop of the song hits right in the feels and never lets up until the end.
