You may have seen some of the famous Burning Man installations even show up at massives that you\’ve attended, like EDC Las Vegas. That\’s because these pieces are traveling works of art, and they return to Nevada every year, with new installations joining the family.
As the number of interactive and live art installations increases at dance music festivals with every passing year, many in the scene are contributing this industry trend to the Burning Man Festival. In fact, a lot of people don\’t even realize that Burning Man is considered an art festival first and foremost, before it\’s even looked at as a music festival.
Andrew Jorgensen, one of the scene\’s most highly sought after photographers, hit the Playa this year to get all dusty for The Confluence. Based out of San Diego, Jorgensen has been shooting music festivals in this corner of the country for a decade, capturing some of the most high quality photos at West coast favorites like Lightning in a Bottle and Coachella. And, boy, does this guy have an eye for capturing the living experience.
