Throughout 2018, the rising trio comprised of Trevor Dahl, Kevin Ford and Matthew Russel, better knows as Cheat Codes, have been making their mark in the EDM scene with three singles. “NSFW,” “Balenciaga,” and their collaboration with DVBBS “I Love It” all topped charts respectively. Now, Cheat Codes delivers their first EP Level 1 featuring all three of their singles. In addition to their EP, we’re also given the release of the music video for “I Love It.”
Cheat Codes keeps us on our toes with this EP, with styles ranging all ends of the electronic music spectrum. “Activate” and “The Concept” offer a new hip hop sound we havent heard from Trevor, Kevin and Matt before. At the tail of the EP, “Boing Boing” delivers a fresh trap tune, perfect for summer festivals.
This EP isn’t the first milestone for Cheat Codes in 2018. Back in March they performed on Ultra Music Festival’s main stage for their 20th anniversary and made an appearance at Electric Daisy Carnival in Las Vegas as well.
