After his performance at Sundance Film Festival on Friday, Skrillex sat down with Billboard for a quick interview. One of the first questions asked was about Jack U, his project with Diplo. Jack U has played some very popular sets at Ultra and Madison Square Garden, but has yet to actually release any music.
In the interview, Skrillex revealed that him and Diplo have about ten songs finished. Some of them are new and innovative, and others are demos from years ago that they decided to work on and release. The album will be a \”mini-album or EP\” and will feature a few of those finished Jack U songs. They\’ll hold the other ones for release at a future date.
When asked about the release of the mini-album, Skrillex stated that it would be done next week. The exact release is still not known, but we\’ll be sure to keep an eye on this situation.
