In the midst of the scandalous (yet fake) story about Steve Aoki not being a real DJ posted on the satirical EDM website Wunderground, it seems as though everyone is questioning the validity of electronic artists\’ performances. Some even wonder if the performer himself actually made the music he or she is playing or if it was created in a remote studio by a ghost producer.
Though many (including the master troll himself, Deadmau5) have admitted that when it comes to showtime there is not much else they can do than \”push a button\”, some dance music fans claim that there are certain producers and DJs that are more invested in actually mixing during a live performance, while others appear to be more of a hype man than a DJ.
