In celebration of the 20th Anniversary of the Summer of Love, English producer and DJ, Paul Oakenfold, and friends are climbing to the base camp of Mount Everest to throw a concert of monumental proportion. The two time Grammy Award-winning DJ will be performing at an altitude of 5,350 meters, setting a new world record for the ‘highest party on earth,’ and the ticket proceeds will be donated to the survivors of recent earthquakes in Nepal.
The event, set for April 10th, kicks off an international tour which covers eight countries and nearly 30 cities. Luckily, you can catch the mountaintop performance via live stream on Oakenfold’s Facebook or the Extreme Sports Company blog. If this man is coming to a city near you, do yourself a favor and be there.
