In an incredibly unsurprising yet ironic move, deadmau5 has proven that artistry will always be shackled by the throes of capitalism. Joel Zimmerman is going overseas with Ultra for his own mau5trap worldwide tour in 2016 — set to hit Korea, Europe, Singapore, Taiwan, and Japan throughout the year. Everyone has a price, right?
We might actually cut the Twitter troll some slack if he didn\’t call out so many of his peers for \”selling out.\” Zimmerman has had a complicated relationship with Ultra, but it seems the two have made amends recently which can be evidenced from his sheer presence at this year\’s festival. Regardless, we\’re happy to see the mau5 sharing his undeniable talent with the world. Joel, you\’re right where you belong: caged up on stage by a giant corporation.
