J. Phlip, Claude VonStroke, Shiba San, and more coming to Dirtybird BBQ Chicago

Earlier today, Champaign native J. Phlip was announced for Dirtybird BBQ Chicago, taking place on Saturday, August 15th. She joins a lineup of Dirtybird all-stars that includes Claude VonStroke, Shiba San, Justin Martin, and Kill Frenzy. The exact location of the event is yet to be announced, but will most likely be held somewhere on the south side of the city.

If you\’re unfamiliar with Dirtybird, you need to change that. Dirtybird is a California based record label founded 10 years ago by Justin Martin and Claude VonStroke that strives to bring a unique and fun style of house music that can be enjoyed by everyone. They were one of the first labels that really got me into house and techno instead of EDM – I highly recommend checking out their Dirtybird BBQ and Dirtybird 10 compilation albums. Currently, they\’re touring the country holding Dirtybird BBQ events, where you might find Claude grilling and eating burgers alongside Dirtybird fans.

They threw a New Year\’s Eve party in Chicago last year, and now they\’re back. Tickets are still available for the 2 P.M. – 10 P.M. event, which you can purchase on Clubtix. Summer Set is going on in Wisconsin the same weekend, but if you\’re in the city, you can\’t miss this event. If you like good music and good people, this is a ticket you need to purchase.
