After five years off the road, the Guitar Hero franchise returns with a newly designed guitar controller, curated song streaming, and a joint focus on consoles and mobile devices when it launches jointly on consoles and mobile platforms this fall.
The biggest change between the new Guitar Hero Live and the older versions of the game is that the Guitar Hero Live players will see pre-recorded video of a live, cheering crowd that reacts to how well they\’re playing. These filmed crowds will grow from tiny groups of a few dozen in cramped clubs to stadiums full of tens of thousands as the game progresses, Activision said. The games playlist will feature artists such as Skrillex, The Black Keys, Fall Out Boy, My Chemical Romance, Green Day, Ed Sheeran, The Killers Carrie Underwood and more.
