The UK-based hardware creator, Novation, acclaimed for it\’s Launch series of products, has unveiled yet another addition to the Launch family today: the new Launchkey MK2.
The \”easy-to-use MIDI keyboard controller\” has had several fundamental features refreshed in this new installment to the product. Notable features include velocity-sensitive keys, the addition of RGB velocity-sensitive pads for beatmaking and \’Plug In and Play\’ support, yielding an end to the requirement for drivers. The larger 49 and 61 key setups have some added treats: nine faders and eight knobs for easy mixer control.
Though the Launchkey is designed specifically for Ableton Live, it can be used in all major softwares – FL Studio, Reason, Logic, Bitwig, etc. As usual, the purchase of a Launchkey will also include Ableton Live Lite 9, the Novation Bass Station VST and V-Station Virtual Instruments, as well as 1 gigabyte of Loopmasters Samples.
