Madeon, the brainchild of 20 year old Frenchman Hugo Leclercq has finally released his first album. The young prodigy begins his tour tonight in Belgium and has two stops in Illinois; Thursday, April 30th at the Canopy Club in Urbana and Friday, May 1st at the House of Blues in Chicago. Fans who have been waiting patiently for the album have already been treated with 5 singles, a Reddit AMA from Madeon, and an online game that allows Madeon fans to make their own remixes of Madeon songs. Now finally, fans can listen to the full album.
Adventure has 12 tracks, and at times is similar in style to Porter Robinson’s Worlds album released last year. However, the album still retains Madeon’s signature groovy style while also showing a more tender side in songs such as Home and Innocence.
