Everyone wants to fit in socially, even if they have to lie about it.
This statement proves to be true when two individuals decided to go around Singapore\’s Laneway Festival and ask concertgoers about fake artists and their responses were hilarious. The 2 minute video was modeled after the popular segment featured on the Jimmy Kimmel Show called \”Lie Witness News,\” that took place at Coachella back in 2013.
Festivalgoers agreed to knowing about non-existent bands such as \”Courtney Has Crabs\” and \”Forrest Gump,\” just so they can appear to be \”in the loop\” with today\’s music scene. Towards the end of the video, people were even asked to give shout-outs to pretend bands and had no problem doing so with enthusiasm. We all have a reputation to live up to, after all.
