2014 has been a gigantic year for Avicii in a number of ways. From the release of his \”True: Avicii by Avicii\” remix album to his countless collaborations and debuts, he\’s made himself one of the busiest artists in dance music. This has not come without cost though, as we\’ve seen him hospitalized multiple times during the last 7 months.
In March, right before Avicii debuted his remix album, he was meant to headline Ultra Music Festival in Miami. Instead, he was sent to the hospital after experiencing severe abdominal pains. It was later announced that his gallbladder had been blocked and that he had his appendix removed, and several shows were cancelled to give him time to recover.
Several months later, on his 25th birthday in September, Avicii announced that he would no longer be able to perform for the foreseeable future. The list of cancellations included TomorrowWorld, his Asia tour, and residencies in Las Vegas.
However, via the lineup announcement video for Australia\’s Future Music Festival tour it has been revealed that Avicii is back much earlier than expected! He is set to headline the events in February and March. This comes as very welcome news to lovers of his music and health.
