After a hectic summer DJ schedule that saw him touching clubs across the UK, Europe and Australia, drum & bass powerhouse Joe Ford returns to the studio to deliver two brand new slices of electronic mastery. Full of his trademark production and sound control, nobody makes music like Joe Ford makes music.
‘Off Centre’ as the name suggests sees Joe exploring new territories as he delves deep to bring a more experimental edge to his warping bass and polished drums. Recently demolishing the studio in a sound-off by Friction Vs Zane Lowe on Radio 1, the intro sets the scene before the “let’s try something different” vocal gives the game away and we launch into a ticking, techno-infused piece of bouncing D&B that’s had dance floors jumping all over in recent months.
Moving into ‘Knock Down’ and Joe opts to bring back his neck-lashing breaks for one seriously low-slung slab of future funk drum & bass for the new jilted generation, showing just why Joe Ford is one of the most exciting forces in modern day bass music culture.
