\”Big Room Barf.\”
This is how SNAILS describes Pump This, his new collaboration with heRobust. He doesn\’t mean to say it\’s a bad track; the word \’barf\’ just best describes the bonafide SNAILS sound.
Back in May, I named the Montreal-based producer my top act to watch for the summer. It\’s safe to say that this festival season pushed SNAILS in the right direction as his production made it into the tracklists of industry giants including Skrillex, Adventure Club, Krewella, and even Tiesto. The pioneer of \’vomit-step\’ is indeed on the right path.
The first heRobust track I heard was a remix of Borgore and Carnage\’s Incredible. This was when the trap genre was booming and it made me quickly push away and forget the producer\’s name. Things quickly changed when I revisited his SoundCloud after hearing his Let\’s Get Busy remix thanks to Pretty Lights. The Atlanta reppin\’ producer has found his own distinct sound in between trap beats and dubstep and I just can\’t get enough of it.
