Teenage Mutants Interview EDM Chicago
October 26, 2015
I am absolutely enamored with your sound. What are your inspirations? Who did you listen to as a child?
To the whole 80’s. I love all the Synths and Baselines. The 60’s are also really good as an inspiration with all their melodies and simple groove.

What do you use to produce your tracks, hardware and software?
I have a mix of both. But mostly with software. I am more a software nerd than a hardware nerd. I use Ableton live and mostly ZEBRA and DIVA for those who know them. 😉
Do you enjoy the way that Deep House has headed to more mainstream appeal?
Not really, cause all the “good” deep house producers changed into boring techno or something else. Sure, there is still great deep house music out there, but I miss some producers. For me it is ok, I did all the time a mix of different stlyles: Deep House, Techno, Indie Dance. So the whole movement has a good effect for me.
Follow-up: How has the scene changed over the past 3 years?
A lot. I am playing more then 100 DJ Shows per year. Sometime more sometimes less. My whole thinking has changed. I would say I’m more “hippie” now…follow your dreams and never give it up!
Chicago house scene. Is it as great as we like to think it is?
Sure, one of the best 🙂 I hope I will play there in 2016. I had some requests for 2015, but at the end it did not happen, so fingers crossed 🙂
What Country has the nicest people?
Any interesting tour stories?
Sure, a lot. But I don\’t know if I should tell them in press 🙂 better not…haha!
If you could go back to any decade, solely for the appreciation of music, what time would you pick?
The 80’s! And I would never go back!
Who, besides you, should I be listening to right now?
