Glastonbury is taking an off year to let the grounds rest. Not to fret, the massive festival will return for another 6-year run in 2019. For 2018, a new festival will step in and fill the void during Glasto’s off year.

BBC Music announced The Biggest Weekend, a new four-day festival taking place across England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland. The radio giant says Radio 1, Radio 2, Radio 3 and Radio 6 listeners will enjoy the lineup, as it offers “coverage similar to that around Glastonbury.”

The Biggest Weekend is currently scheduled for May 25-28, 2018. The fest holds an estimated 175,000 people, nearly 40,000 more than Glastonbury.

Bob Shennan, director of BBC Radio and Music, stated: “We will be celebrating the diversity of music from four different corners of the country, bringing the best UK music to the world and the best global music to the UK.”
